On December 18, 2024, HISDEMAB Fellow Elisabeth Kimmerle defended successfully her PhD at Potsdam University. She was awarded Summa cum Laude. The PhD, “Frauen in Bewegung: migrantische Aushandlungsräume des Politischen zwischen West-Berlin und der Turkey (1961-1990)” was prepared as part of the HISDEMAB programme and supervised by Prof. Frank Bösch and Dr. Hab. Nora Lafi.

On April 16, 2024, Abdul Hameed El Kayyali, Abdel Qader Amer and Nora Lafi presented the HISDEMAB book published in Jordan in early 2024 on political participation in the Arab World as part of the MECAM’s Event Week n.2 “Imagining Future” in Tunis.
